The Gulf Medical College Ajman was established with the Decree No. 1, dated 28 January, issued by His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi, the Ruler of Ajman and Member of the Supreme Council, U.A.E in the year 1998 as there was a felt need for a medical college in the United Arab Emirates. The college offers M.B.B.S and Bachelor of Physiotherapy programs. The main aim is to impart high quality medical education. This is the only medical school in the region, which offers admissions to both boys and girls of all nationalities. The college has infrastructure and facilities, which is on par with some of the established medical schools in the world.
A part from the academic programs, Gulf Medical College Ajman is in the forefront of Continuing Medical Education and Continuing Professional Development Programs. The college has organizing International and Regional conferences and Symposia. The college also publishes a quarterly Health magazine - GMC Health Journal, as part of its commitment to informative medical journalism.
